“Diablo III” Season 18 is expected to drop sometime this fall, and the Barbarian community is ramping its efforts to bring attention to the class. The desire is rooted in the fact that Barbs deals the least damage of all the other classes and builds in the game.
Although Barbarians are still useful in group play as a zDPS, the community would like a buff – or several buffs for that matter – that would allow the class to play other than a zDPS support. “Diablo III” Season 18 could be the answer for this if the developers implement the solutions offered by Barbarian players.
So what are these solutions? There are three that have been offered. However, if the second proposal will be implemented by “Diablo III” Season 18, it will solve not only the Barbarian’s lacking when compared to the class’ other builds but will address its weaknesses when paired against any other classes.
Diablo III Season 18 should address Barbarian Greater Rifts potential
The community calculates that the Barbarian class is behind by 4.1 compared to any other classes for top 10 Greater Rifts clear. “Diablo III” Season 18 could bridge this gap by following the first or second proposal by the community, with emphasis on the latter as the changes will elevate the Barbarians to by global standards.
Tier one details the need to fix broken sets and abilities, while tier two addresses the need to buff supporting legendaries. It’s important to remember, however, that the community isn’t asking for both solutions to be implemented by “Diablo III” Season 18. The developers could only follow one or the other, although the second proposal is more important than the first.
Diablo III Season 18 unclear to enact changes suggested by Barbarian community
“Diablo 3” associate community manager Nevalistis admits that the team recognizes the need for Barbs to get the much-needed buff but explained they couldn’t put the changes they had in mind this patch. Nevalistis added that they, too, have a list of possible changes they want to bring for the class, although he didn’t provide any details what these tweaks are. He also didn’t disclose when the Barbarian community can expect these changes to go live. Hopefully, “Diablo III” Season 18 would be the patch that would bring these buffs in as the Barbarian class sorely needs it to create more riveting playstyle in the future.
