Events under the current season of “Destiny 2” are still laid out for a month, but some very dedicated players are hoping to plan ahead of the next installment. So to those who might be wondering when “Destiny 2: Season of Opulence” will arrive, fellow gamers advise it could be in early June.
“Destiny 2” developer Bungie revealed the official gameplay calendar back in 2018, the name of the third season was even hidden at the time. But now, gamers know for sure that it is officially called the “Season of Opulence.” Unfortunately, there are very few confirmed details at the moment other than its name. It is not surprising, though, since the current gameplay “Season of the Drifter” continues for the next month.
Recent online discussions among players and fans are estimating “Destiny 2: Season of Opulence” to go live on June 4. It is important to note that it is still mere speculation despite being based on previous “Destiny 2” schedules.
Meanwhile, it is also not surprising that players are very excited to learn when “Destiny 2: Season of Opulence” will begin. The second season is confirmed to arrive with an all-new Raid Mission that was not present in “Season of the Drifter.”
Joining Raids in “Destiny 2” are some of the most rewarding aspects of its gameplay, so it is not strange for players to want to join it on day 1. Unfortunately, they have to wait for a few more weeks to learn more about “Destiny 2: Season of Opulence” including its release date and new features.
As mentioned, the only official reference available now is the gameplay calendar that Bungie released in late 2018. But it has enough information to excite the fans. Aside from the new Raid Mission, players who purchased the Annual Pass have many more contents to expect. These include new gears and weapons, a new six-player activity, and two other undisclosed features.
