Dakota Johnson is reportedly getting hitched to her long-time boyfriend and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The pair are said to be tying the knot before this year ends and it will be a three-day festivity that will be held in Maldives.
Dakota and Chris’ wedding in a foreign land?
Australia’s OK! Magazine reported that Dakota Johnson is excited and has been planning her dream wedding. It will be an exchange of “I Dos” in paradise after reconciling with her boyfriend Chris Martin.
The two called it quits in June 2019 and around that time, The Sun reported that the pair were already discussing about their engagement. Their plans did not push through as they ended up going on separate ways instead.
Then again, they reconciled after a few weeks and worked on their issues. After resolving everything, they allegedly started planning for their destination-style wedding that will take place for three days.
“They have been looking at private islands in the Maldives and will exchange vows in front of family and a few close friends,” the source revealed to OK! “They’ve worked through their issues and they’re more in love than ever.”
Dakota Johnson and her beau have allegedly invited VIPs and in their guest list, they are Gwyneth Paltrow, Sean Penn, Robert Downey Jr., Miley Cyrus and of course, Chris’ two children. The singer’s children are said to get along very well with the “Fifty Shades of Grey” star and in fact, Apple and Moses Martin attended her last birthday bash. OK! further claimed that Dakota and Chris can’t wait to get married and become husband and wife.
Revealing the truth about Dakota and Chris’ wedding in paradise
While Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have truly reconciled and going strong today, Gossip Cop stated that there is no truth in the claim that they are getting married this year in the Maldives. Things are going well with them but marriage is still out of the question.
And considering that the coronavirus pandemic is still on-going, this is another reason why the story is false. Surely, it is difficult to have celebrations these days as gathering of people is still widely prohibited. Traveling is also hard so definitely, there is no wedding for Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin this year thus this report is not true.
