Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin's relationship may have not been the run-of-the-mill Hollywood fling since they started dating back in late 2017. But it seems that people other than Johnson and Martin themselves are more excited for the couple for reasons the couple is not even aware of.
Rumors that Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are now engaged have been circulating in the gossip industry. This supposed news comes after both Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were spotted with matching tattoos on their arms.
According to hearsay, Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are keeping the news about their engagement on the down low so that they don't attract the attention of Martin's former wife, Gwyneth Paltrow. The rumors are making it seem that Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are being forced to make their engagement private due to bad blood still existing between Martin and Paltrow.
But fans will remember that Gwyneth Paltrow has publicly stated, on multiple occasions, that her relationship with Chris Martin is no longer romantic and Martin is now a person that she thinks of as family rather than an ex-husband. Paltrow has mentioned in an interview with Glamour, as well as during an interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” that she now sees Martin more like a brother.
For more proof that Paltrow has already moved on from her relationship with Martin, Paltrow recently posted on Instagram a photo of Martin and her current fiance, Brad Falchuk, together for breakfast with the hashtag “#modernfamily.”
Rumors that Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have to keep their supposed engagement private because of Gwyneth Paltrow's jealousy no longer hold water. This also puts the dubious claim that the Coldplay frontman and “ Fifty Shades” actress are even engaged into question.
Fans of Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin's relationship should probably wait for the couple to officially announce their own love life plans in public before following the unconfirmable trails left by Hollywood's celeb gossip circle.
