Over 85,000 merchants in Switzerland now accept cryptocurrency payments from customers through a collaboration between Swiss crypto-financial services company Bitcoin Suisse and French payment and transactional services company Worldline.
Bitcoin Suisse’s integrated service named WL Crypto Payments will allow merchants to accept payments in Bitcoin and Ether on point-of-sale (POS) and e-commerce services using the Worldline payment services.
Merchants only need to download the WL Crypto Payments mobile app or install the Worldline payment plugin for their online store to use the service.
Prices displayed in Swiss Francs will be shown in real-time Bitcoin or Ether value, depending on what clients choose.
The price can get instantly confirmed to the merchant.
The currency would be converted into CHF after payment is confirmed, making the transaction safe from volatility risks.
This solution was passed a pilot program before being rolled out to Worldline merchants in Switzerland.
The two firms first collaborated over crypto payments in November 2019.
