“Criminal Minds” Season 14 Episode 9 will involve the BAU getting contacted with regards to a series of deaths involving the overdose of recovering addicts. Of course, no believes that these deaths are a suicide considering the nature of the show, so these would be murders. What’s more, the case is connected to a member of the team, again.
In the synopsis for “Criminal Minds” Season 14 Episode 9, the case this time has to do with some deaths that are going on that has to do with a certain professor that has a history with Dr. Tara Elizabeth Lewis (Aisha Tyler). The victims are rehab patients who can be assumed have been doing well on their way to the road of recovery but their lives have been cut short.
“A professor from Lewis' past tips off the BAU to an alarming number of overdose deaths of patients who just completed rehab,” the synopsis reads.
It’s fitting that “Criminal Minds” Season 14 Episode 9 is titled “Broken Wing” because it can represent a lot of the themes that the episode seems to embody. For starters, rehab patients can be treated like birds with injured wings who are being treated so that they can fly again. The failure of treatment, however, can lead to the bird being crippled for life or dying in the wild.
As to how this all ties to Lewis in “Criminal Minds” Season 14 Episode 9, the preview clip below seems to suggest that the professor is the doctor’s ex-husband. This presents quite the conundrum for the BAU member since connections like this can prove tricky, especially in a serial murder case.
Fans will be able to watch “Criminal Minds” Season 14 Episode 9 on Dec. 5. At that time, they’ll find out just how much of a deep connection Lewis has with the professor and the victims.
