A couple recently posted a question on the blockchain in order to ‘immortalize’ their love with as the information recorded on the blockchain is permanent.
An individual named Sun Chun Yu popped a question a couple of days ago on the blockchain network which was mined by the Chinese Bitcoin mining company, HaoBTC. He posted a question that read, “Zhuang Yuan, will you marry me?” for which he got the reply from her saying “Yes”.
According to newsbtc.com, the distributed ledger originally created to keep a record of all the transactions happening over the Bitcoin network is being explored by love-struck couples who are constantly finding crazy ways to ‘immortalize’ their love.
The news was originally reported by a well-known technology publication Motherboard which expressed its ambiguity about the validity of the conversation. It mentioned the possibility of HaoBTC employees’ part in it in which case it mentioned that the couple can get hitched. Motherboard claimed that it is waiting for a response from HaoBTC.
The message on the website also provides links to the transaction ids in question on the blockchain. Sun Chun Yu’s message is said to have been added to the bitcoin transaction to HaoBTC containing the block reward of 25 BTC which followed the response by Yuan.
HaoBTC was incorporated in September 2014. It is a venture solely owned by Beijing Inevitable Technologies Ltd. HaoBTC has built a user base in excess of 30,000. It is Buy and sell, which has been in operation for a year, has an accumulated a collective trading volume in excess of RMB one billion. As of today, HaoBTC ranks near high in terms of wallet outbound and inbound transaction volume.
