On October 10, CosMc's, a new beverage concept from the McDonald's universe, announced the launch of six new drinks that promise to "send your taste buds into orbit." Before diving into the details, let’s revisit what CosMc's is all about.
As reported by Food & Wine, in 2023, McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski revealed during an earnings call that the company was working on a spin-off restaurant concept. Named after a minor character from McDonald’s lore — an alien robot introduced in the 1980s — CosMc's opened its first location in Bolingbrook, Illinois, later that year. Described as a "small-format concept with all the DNA of McDonald's," the chain offers a range of new beverages alongside select McDonald’s favorites.
“CosMc’s seamlessly blends brand-new, otherworldly beverage creations with a small lineup of food, including a select few McDonald’s favorites — all designed to boost your mood into the stratosphere, if only for a few moments,” McDonald’s said.
CosMc’s Expands Menu with Six New Caffeinated Drinks, Including Sea Salted Caramelactic Espresso
The CosMc’s menu features an array of coffee drinks, “galactic boosts,” juices, sodas, lemonades, and small bites. Now, it also boasts six new caffeinated options to kickstart your day.
The new drinks include the Sea Salted Caramelactic Shaken Espresso, a shaken espresso topped with a “galactic cloud of oat milk foam.” Another offering is the Oat & Honey Latte, made with espresso, oat milk, and honey flavors.
For fans of iced lattes, the French Toast Galaxy Iced Latte combines espresso, sweet maple, and cinnamon flavors. The Coconaut Cold Brew is also made with cold brew, coconut vanilla flavors, and cold foam for a refreshing twist.
Rounding out the lineup are the Pistachio Swirl Shaken Espresso, featuring espresso with pistachio flavors and oat milk foam, and the Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte, described by McDonald's as a drink that "looks like it came from outer space" and tastes like "a universe all its own."
These new beverages are available now at all CosMc’s locations and can be ordered online, through the app, or in person.
