‘Chicago P.D.’ season 4’s episode 23, titled “Fork In the Road,” will follow Lindsay as she deals with her own mother being the prime suspect for the murder of her boyfriend. Lindsay will also find herself in trouble with the review board and will need to face the consequences of her actions towards a suspect.
The lengthy synopsis for “Fork In the Road” posted on TV Guide reads, “In the Season 4 finale, Lindsay's (Sophia Bush) mother is a suspect in the murder of her boyfriend;
and the case opens up when a group of high-school students OD, and the drugs in question relate back to the situation with Bunny (guest star Markie Post). Lindsay also finds herself up against the review board dealing with consequences of her actions.”
Lindsay is set to receive a distressed call from her mother Bunny, whose boyfriend had been shot. To make matters worse, Bunny is being considered as the prime suspect in her boyfriend’s murder and Lindsay will have to take proper care in dealing with the situation. The case will then open up when a group of high-school students overdose with drugs and this would relate back to Bunny’s own case.
It seems that Lindsay will also find herself in more hot water when she is forced to face the consequences of her actions against a suspect. She is set to get in trouble with the review board.
The promo shows Lindsay seated alone in front of an intimidating review board, where she is told that she is being investigated for aggravated assault. She demands that she had no regrets about what happened. In the next scene, Voight (Jason Beghe) is being forced to make a decision to dismiss Lindsay or have his Intelligence Unit shut down for good.
According to Christian Post, her problems emerged after she attacked a mob boss after losing control of her temper. Lindsay and the rest of the team were called in to deal with a bank robbery. She then managed to catch one of the thieves, who turned out to be a young boy.
When Lindsay finally got to meet the mob boss face to face, she grew aggravated at his cockiness and eventually shoved her gun down his throat.
‘Chicago P.D.’ season 4’s episode 23, titled “Fork In the Road,” is scheduled to air on May 17, 2017 on NBC.
