‘Chicago PD’ season 4’s episode 19, titled “Last Minute Resistance," will follow the team as they investigate Burgess’ sister’s disappearance. They will then find her fighting for her life at an El station.
The lengthy synopsis for “Last Minute Resistance” posted on TV Guide reads, “After encouraging her sister to spend a night out with friends, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) wakes to find that Nicole (Jules Willcox) never made it home.
As the guilt begins to eat at Burgess, the team in Intelligence bands together to make finding Nicole their main priority. The case kicks into high gear when she is found clinging to life in an El station.”
The upcoming episode will shift its focus on the disappearance of Burgess’ sister, Nicole, after she fails to return home after a night out with friends. The team will race against time to locate her whereabouts. Unfortunately, they eventually find her fighting for her life at an El station.
The promo for episode 19 opens to Burgess receiving a short phone call from her mobile phone. Burgess asks, “Nicole?” The voice on the other end only tells her “Help me,” before hanging up. In the next scene, Burgess is seen running through a bus station where she finds Nicole scared and bleeding from her crotch.
It is then revealed that Nicole wasn’t the victim of a random violent attack in a back alley. She was already a marked target prior to the attack.
According to 2Paragraphs, Jules Willcox portrays Nicole in the series. Willcox’ characacter was first introduced in season 4’s episode 18, titled "Little Bit of Light," when she came into town to pay her sister a visit and tell her that she is getting a divorce. She also ended up clashing with Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger).
The previous episode followed the team as they took on a case of the murder of a “night crawler,” a freelance videographer who filmed crime scenes. It turned out that he was blackmailing one of Chicago’s wealthiest families after filming a rape confession.
‘Chicago PD’ season 4’s episode 19, titled “Last Minute Resistance," is scheduled to air on NBC on April 5, 2017.
