‘Chicago Med’ season 2’s episode 10, titled “Heart Matters,” is set to follow Maggie as she struggles to deal with her traumatizing past when her arresting officer is admitted into the hospital for a grave injury.
The synopsis for “Heart Matters” posted on TV Guide reads, “Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) must face her past when her arresting officer arrives at the hospital with a serious injury.
Also, a heart transplant patient gets into a car crash, complicating her surgery; Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) treats an uncooperative horse jockey; Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Halstead deal with a patient's death.”
In the incoming episode, more drama ensues as Maggie finds herself trying to reconcile with a past arrest when her arresting office is brought to Chicago Med with a serious injury. In the photographs posted on Spoilers Guide, the ED nurse looks none too pleased when she is presented with an opportunity to revisit a scarred past.
Maggie will have to figure out a way not to let past animosity hinder her from performing health care duties on the officer who ended up putting her in handcuffs from last season. The promo opens to Maggie getting arrested at the workplace and ushered to prison. She insists behind bars, “I was doing my job!”
It would be interesting to see how Maggie manages to let go of the past in order to save a life.
Meanwhile, Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Daniel Charles' (Oliver Platt) heart transplant patient gets into a car crash leading to issues that could possibly complicate her impending surgery. Dr. Halstead will attempt to treat an uncooperative patient while he and Dr. Manning struggle to defend themselves while explaining a patient’s cause of death.
‘Chicago Med’ season 2’s episode 10, titled “Heart Matters,” is scheduled to air on NBC on January 12, 2017. It will be followed by episode 11, titled "Graveyard Shift," scheduled for January 19.
