French jeweler Cartier has chosen BTS's Kim Tae-Hyung, better known as V, in a striking blend of luxury and pop culture, to be its new global brand ambassador. Not new to the world of high-end fashion, V, already an ambassador for the elite clothing line Celine, debuts in Cartier's latest Panthère de Cartier campaign. Donning a yellow gold panther necklace and ring, V embodies the allure of the Panther, said Arnaud Carrez, Cartier's Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer. This announcement seeks to enhance Cartier's brand visibility and spur sales.
Arnaud Carrez, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Cartier International explained that V was chosen as the face of Panthère de Cartier was driven by his trajectory and determination, mirroring that of the Panther. Arnaud Carrez emphasized V's compelling look and strong character. He described V's personality as guided by creativity, whether as a dancer, musician, or art lover, exuding a unique, incomparable style and elegance. Carrez also praised V's sentimentality, strong personality, and creative expression.
Cartier's collaboration with V aims to boost sales and increase brand recognition. Earlier this year, there were rumors about French luxury giant LVMH considering a purchase of Richemont or including Cartier's luxury jewelry division in its portfolio.
BTS's V, also known as Kim Taehyung, is now the newest global ambassador for Cartier. In a tweet, Cartier announced their pleasure in appointing the pop icon as their Panthère de Cartier collection ambassador. The brand shared a photo of V wearing a striking red suit, showcasing the necklace and ring adorned with yellow gold, tsavorite garnets, and onyx.
After the announcement, Cartier's website reportedly crashed due to traffic, and fans took to Twitter to express their excitement and admiration for V's photoshoot with Cartier.
