Capcom has been releasing trailers and teasers for its upcoming Resident Evil 7 game, and they just released more. This time, the publisher has released 8 volumes of teasers that reveal certain aspects of the game, including some parts about combat and solving puzzles.
All 8 teasers are less than a minute long and they all come with their own themes. Individually, the clips provide a certain level of insight into what players can expect from the game, Eurogamer notes. By taking all of the information from all the videos together, they paint a much clearer picture.
The title for all the videos in order are “Mysterious Caller,” “Shotgun In The Box,” “Recorder,” “Stock Up,” “Survival,” “Immortal,” “A Closer Look,” and “Imagination.” Anyone who has ever played any of the past Resident Evil or Biohazard games will likely already have some ideas as to what each teaser is about based on the names alone.
Now, without running through every single step of what the videos show in sequence, the basic details to take away are simple enough. Basically, players can still fight, can still save their game via recording devices, still have to survive on limited ammunition, and still have to contend with mind-bending puzzles.
Without a doubt, there are many new features in the game that old fans of the series will notice, but many old tricks are still visible. The biggest difference, however, would have to be the ability to rotate objects in front of the character in order to solve certain puzzles, PC Gamer notes. There are even some indications that players might have to shake certain containers or boxes in order to get items out of them.
In any case, it’s still too early to say that anyone has a clear picture of where Capcom is going with the game. So far, many are encouraged by the fact that the publisher is trying new things while retaining elements that makes the Resident Evil series what it is.
