“Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” is right around the corner and the gaming community is preparing their rigs and consoles to accommodate the much-anticipated game.
The minimum and maximum requirements for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” have been announced by the game's developer, Treyarch, for its PC fan base. While meeting the system requirement is crucial for PC gamers to smoothly run the first-person shooter, what they really need to prepare for is the massive size of the upcoming installment, Forbes reported.
The space needed for the initial installation is a whopping 45.65GB for the Xbox One, 55GB for the PC, and 51.42GB for the PS4. There’s also a 50GB download requirement to install the day-one patch in order to play the game. What’s more, gamers should bear in mind that the space requirement for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” will vary depending on the location of a user.
This is due to language packs and other needed game files that will consume more space for a certain system. As such, Treyarch announced that gamers should have 112GB worth of free space if they wish to play the game. During the patch for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4,” the multiplayer mode and Zombies mode will not be available, as well as what’s being called the Specialist Headquarters.
However, the battle royale mode of Blackout will be playable once the update reaches 30 percent. As for the maps, 14 regions will be available at launch, with Gridlock, Arsenal, Contraband among the locations included.
For players who are hoping for a campaign inclusion, Treyarch, unfortunately, didn’t add such gameplay to the next installment, which caused quite the stir for its fan base. Be that as it may, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” is still expected to pull in a lot of gamers once it is released on Oct. 12.
