In a new interview, Caitlyn Jenner admits that her gender transition, although widely accepted by her kids, appears to be “hard” in reality.
Telling Diane Sawyer, she said that her kids, Burt and Cassandra with first wife Chrystie Scott, Brandon and Brody with second wife Linda Thompson, and Kendall and Kylie with third wife Kris Jenner, and stepkids Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, still call her “Dad.” She noted, however, that some of them, without mentioning their names, have been distant since her transformation. Jenner now identifies herself as a transgender woman.
“Some [of my children] I have remained very close to. A couple of them … I’m a little more distant. I have to admit, I’ll sit here and wonder, “Is it because of my transitioning? Or is it because their life is so busy that they don’t call, like, all the time?” Nobody calls that much. I mostly reach out to them. Obviously the Jenner side calls more, but they all have their own lives,” she explained.
A source, however, claimed that Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Robert, whom we have seen and given Jenner the same courtesy as their late father, lawyer Robert Kardashian in “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and the show’s spinoffs, have reported grown distant. The source said, "Caitlyn's relationship with the Kardashians — Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob — is distant. They will always be nice and cordial with Caitlyn, mainly for Kendall and Kylie's sake, but their relationship will never be the same as it was with Bruce. The man who was in their lives for so many years is gone, and they don't have the same relationship with Caitlyn. Nothing bad happened, and they hold no grudges about the change Caitlyn made in her life, it's just different. They see Caitlyn when she is invited to an event for Kylie and Kendall, but there isn't private one-on-one time with them anymore."
But despite the distance, Jenner insists that the Kardashians will remain to be important to her. She added, “My life revolves around my kids. They’ll be in my life until the day I die!”
