Burger King announced its new burger flavor and other special treats on Thursday, April 1. The fast food's branch in Singapore unveiled the Chocolate Whopper burger that was described as the dessert burger as it comes with chocolate sauce!
Additionally, Today Online reported that Burger King outlets in Singapore will also offer chicken nuggets with fudge dip and french fries with soft serve and chocolate fudge. These were launched on April 1, but this is really not an April Fool’s joke.
The new flavors at BK’s in Singapore
The fast-food chain added some interesting combinations of flavors to its menu. A savory burger and sides are now available for purchase in the region, and Burger King fans can get the new treats through the restaurant’s BK app or in-store digital kiosks.
People can get their Burger King Chocolate Whopper for S$6.40 and $7.90 if they want it with a regular-sized coke and french fries. This burger has some of the typical ingredients of BK’s whopper, including the flame-grilled beef patty, onions, and tomatoes sandwiched in sesame seed buns. There are no pickles, mayonnaise, ketchup, and lettuce, but instead, the burger has a layer of chocolate sauce.
The nugget menu is called the Nugget Dipper, and this costs S$3.90. Every order of six pieces of chicken nuggets comes with a chocolate fudge swirl dip. This can also be ordered together with the Chocolate Whopper for a total chocolatey Burger King experience.
And there is more, as loyal customers are also given an exclusive offer when they order through the Burger King App. They can receive the Mashed Up Fries with every purchase of the Chocolate Whopper, and this is for free. This dessert is a French Fries in a cup dropped with vanilla soft serve and drizzled with chocolate fudge sauce.
Chocolate-flavored goodies offering is not a joke
Many may still think that these new additions on the menu are part of the April Fool’s prank, but this is really not a joke. In fact, Burger King Singapore confirmed through its Facebook page that Chocolate Whopper, Nugget Dipper, and Mashed Up Fries are really available in their store outlets.
And to further prove it, the restaurant said these would be available for a limited time. Some customers also attested that it is all true as they already saw the treats on the menu list on BK’s delivery app.
“We ain’t joking this time! Get your hands on the King’s new sweet and savory treats this April Fool’s,” BK Singapore wrote. “Available until 15 April.”
