“Bosch” Season 5 will be airing in three days and fans of the police procedural are itching to witness Harry’s (Titus Welliver) newest task. As has been done in the past, the fifth installment will have multiple storylines, weaving between the titular detective’s work and personal relationships.
The main story of “Bosch” Season 5 will focus on the emergence of a drug cartel dealing with fentanyl, a drug that acts similarly to morphine but is 50 to 100 times more powerful. Dalton Walsh (Chris Vance) will be the big bad in the story and it would be interesting to see what sort of pain he’ll inflict against Harry during his off-the-books mission.
Welliver previously said that “Bosch” Season 5 will be exploring unchartered territories for Harry and will be placed with some pretty twisted individuals at some point during the story. Another plotline that the installment will dive into is the reopening of Harry’s old murder case.
Due to new information that has surfaced, the case is being reviewed and the investigation will threaten Harry’s career as he may have tampered with evidence to put the suspects behind bars. Complicating matters further is the reevaluation in “Bosch” Season 5 will prompt other criminals to have their cases reopen on account of Harry’s questionable actions.
Attorney Chandlers (Mimi Rogers) will be representing Harry during the proceedings with newcomer Hector Bonner (Ryan Hurst) providing help on the sides as a private investigator. On the personal side of the story, “Bosch” Season 5 will have the detective form stronger bonds with his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz).
Author Michael Connelly said that this side plot is an interesting story to follow since it will highlight Harry’s happiness and vulnerability at the same time, the Tampa Bay Times reported. With all these plotlines involved, it appears that “Bosch” Season 5 will be another hit entry for the series. Regarding the future of the show, pre-production for the sixth installment has already begun with Connelly saying that they’ve already opened the writer’s room.
