‘Boruto’ Chapter 45 speculations: Reason for Amado’s defection to Konoha might be connected to Boruto’s Karma

After the recent plot twist, fans can’t wait for the arrival of the “Boruto” chapter 45 release date next month. While the highly anticipated battle between Koji Kashin and Jigen did not happen in the most recent manga installment, fans were delightfully shocked with a totally unexpected development, Amado’s decision to defect to Konoha.

Previously, there were speculations that Koji’s plan to kill Jigen might be some form of a personal revenge. While Amado might be somehow involved in the plot, the common belief was that he was just a minor player offering assistance to Koji, perhaps in return for some favor.

But the recent “Boruto” manga chapter, which can be read online on MangaPlus, suggests that Amado might have plotted even deeper than Koji. While Koji stayed behind Kara’s HQ to deal with Jigen, Amado bravely went to Konoha alone to strike a deal with Shikamaru.

It also appears that Amado might be a formidable and clever fighter as well that even Koji is a bit wary of him. The scientist bared his fans for the first time when Delta, one of Kara’s inner members, tried to bar Amado’s departure.

Koji offered to help by dealing with Delta himself but was refused by Amado. “Time to go to sleep Delta,” the scientist commanded and Delta dropped to the ground unable to move. Koji realized that Amado must have programmed an emergency shutdown code into her, which could also mean that the scientist might have programmed the same code into him as well.

Upon reaching in Konoha, Amado was apologetic that he had to take Shikadai hostage but explained that circumstances have forced him to take such drastic measures. “I wasn’t intending to hurt anybody but time is truly of essence,” the scientist explained to Naruto and Shikamaru before announcing his intention to defect and offering intel on the inner workings of Kara and its members.

There seems to be some urgency to Amado’s defection as it feels as if he is doing what is necessary to prevent something from happening. One can’t help that it might have something to do with Boruto.

Sasuke and Mitsuki are also starting to suspect that Boruto might be Momoshiki’s vessel. That is, the member of the Ōtsutsuki clan is trying to resurrect through Naruto’s son.

They fear that it might only be a matter of time before Momoshiki completely takes over Boruto’s body. He already did so during Team 7’s fight against Boro when Boruto became so powerful that it only took one hit to defeat the Kara member.

Does it mean that Amado’s defection to Konoha is to prevent Momoshiki’s resurrection? “Boruto” chapter 45 will arrive on April 20, 2020. Stay tuned for updates.
