“Bojack Horseman” Season 6 has been officially renewed in October and everyone’s favorite depressed anthropomorphic horse will be returning on Netflix. Right now, nothing has been hinted with regards to the next entry’s plot.
However, fans can make an educated guess what will happen in “Bojack Horseman” Season 6 base on the fourth installment’s shocking finale. It can be remembered that Bojack (Will Arnett) tried to kill his co-star and girlfriend Gina (Stephanie Beatriz) by strangling her on the set of his new series, “Philbert.” Even by the show’s dark standards, the violence blindsided most – if not all – of its following, Screenrant reported.
After the incident, Diane (Alison Brie) dropped off Bojack at a rehab facility and “Bojack Horseman” Season 6 will build its story on top of this. Meanwhile, Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris) has now adopted a baby and Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins) has proposed to his much younger girlfriend.
As for Hollywoo – the show’s own version of Hollywood – it will be dealing with its own #MeToo movement and the various abuse in the industry that has now come to light. “Bojack Horseman” Season 6 will undoubtedly explore this narrative, especially since such scandals have real-life parallels.
And even outside of that mess, the show’s story can also see some similarities in the life of celebrities. One such parallel is Diane dropping Bojack off at a rehab center. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck experienced the same struggle last year when the former personally drove the latter to The Canyon Treatment Center at Peace Park in Malibu. Regarding the fate of the main character in “Bojack Horseman” Season 6, show creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg said that they’re planning a redemption arc for him.
That will certainly be an interesting plot to follow since Bojack is in a pretty dark place right now, with his pain killer addiction leading him towards a downward spiral. Hopefully, “Bojack Horseman” Season 6 will be as good as the fourth and fifth installments so Netflix can justify the order of more entries in the future. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, the show’s next season is speculated to drop between July and September, RadioTimes reported.
