The possibility of “BoJack Horseman” Season 6 is already making the rounds after its fifth installment dropped on Sept. 14, Express reported. Hardcore fans of the show have likely already binge-watched the entire new season given that they had all weekend to catch up.
At the moment, Netflix has yet to announce a “BoJack Horseman” Season 6 renewal and show creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg said he’s just waiting for the media service provider for the green light. Bob-Waksberg added that he isn’t comfortable seeing season 5 as the last season, although the decision for a next installment ultimately falls on Netflix.
But given how critics received season 5, Netflix will likely order a “BoJack Horseman” Season 6. The show has managed to incorporate a lot of real-world sentiments and dilemma into its episodes, masterfully weaving together humor and depression with ease. This sort of concept exploration is one of the strengths of the show that leave audiences, casual or otherwise, wanting for more.
So when can fans expect a “BoJack Horseman” Season 6? If Netflix decides to order a new season, the next installment will likely drop in September next year.
Details about the plot for “BoJack Horseman” Season 6 have yet to be revealed either since the fifth installment has just been recently released. However, there are still several loose ends that the writers have yet to address.
One of this is BoJack’s decision to go to rehab as the character is struggling with his new addiction to painkillers. This will likely be the avenue that the showrunners will explore in “BoJack Horseman” Season 6 since Bob-Waksberg himself said that the character’s plotline is heading towards redemption and achieving inner peace.
Of course, the plot will also be peppered with a healthy amount of dating woes, divorce, addiction, depression, and career burnout. All of these were explored in the recent installment and were portrayed with such clarity and compassion, which made the whole season an instant classic. As of now, there’s absolutely no reason for Netflix to shelf a “BoJack Horseman” Season 6 since both fans and are critics are over the moon about how well-made the fifth installment is.
