“BoJack The Horseman” Season 6 will be picking up from the hole that the titular anthropomorphic horse has dug himself in. The fifth installment’s finale saw BoJack (Will Arnett) strangling and nearly killing his co-star and girlfriend, Gina (Stephanie Beatriz).
After the incident, Diane (Alison Brie) took BoJack to a treatment facility to address his worsening pain killer addiction. As such, the main character will be exploring his recovery in “BoJack The Horseman” Season 6 and how he’s going to deal with the consequences of his actions. But before that happens, it seems that the writers are planning to sink BoJack further into despair and self-loathing, Metro reported.
So far, the show is garnering a lot of positive attention from both fans and critics. And it is this mix of light and dark themes that everyone adores. “BoJack The Horseman” Season 6 will be donning this sort of atmosphere once more and show creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg is hoping they’ll knock it off the park again.
“I'm always sure that every season is going to be the season that everyone turns on us, the season that we finally screw it up. Every year that doesn't happen, it only increases the pressure for the following year. Someday, I’ll probably crack and walk away from the show because it's killing me, but maybe I'll wait until we get that eventual backlash. Though really, I'm going to keep making the show as long as I can,” Bob-Waksberg said. Show director Amy Winfrey is on a similar boat and said that she’s excited what’s in store for “BoJack The Horseman” Season 6.
Winfrey elaborated that a lot of elements seen in the animated series is inspired by things she observes in the real world. That element is then discussed within their team and gets added to the storyboard during production, AWN reported. One such factor that has made its way on the show are the monks, which are apparently inspired by turtles Winfrey saw in Hanoi. As for the release date of “BoJack The Horseman” Season 6, it’s being speculated to drop sometime between July and September.
