‘Blue Bloods’ Season 9 Episode 4 Spoilers: Rift in Reagan Clan Continues; Frank Discovers Ugly Truth About His Unit

Blue Bloods

“Blue Bloods” season 9 is already getting intense despite the fact that only three episodes have been released so far. Since episode 1, the focus has been the Reagan family and it is still the main subject in the upcoming episode.

The conflict in Frank Reagan’s (Tom Selleck) family stems from various things. Although most are job-related, some were mixed with personal issues and this is why things are more complicated.

The Reagan family is currently dealing with the bad truth about Linda’s death. As Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) investigation involving the cartel gets deeper, a connection between the criminal group and his wife’s chopper crash starts to emerge. They have no real leads yet but it became clear that her death may have been planned rather than an accident.

As mentioned in a report by TV Line, Mexican cartel member Louis Delgado (Lou Diamond Phillips) told Danny while being interrogated, “First your house burns up and then a chopper goes down — that’s some pretty bad mojo you carry around.”

The show’s EP, Kevin Wade, also seemed to suggest that Linda was murdered when he told the publication via email, “The fact that Delgado brings it up certainly sounds alarms for Danny, and likely does for the audience as well.”

Now, the investigation will proceed in “Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4, titled “Blackout.” According to a press release, its synopsis reads: “When New York City experiences a major blackout, cops scramble to contain the resulting chaos, and Frank uncovers some unpleasant truths about his department in the aftermath. Jamie and Eddie question the line between work and their relationship, and Danny and Baez race to question the subject of a murder investigation before she gets tipped off by her ex-boyfriend.”

As hinted, “Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4 will show New York City experiencing a major power outage and everyone must overcome this situation and still carry out their work as they should. The blackout will also reveal some secrets that will shock Frank Reagan and viewers will see how he will handle it in the next episode.

“Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4 will air on Oct. 19 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
