“Blue Bloods” season 9 is set to premiere with the Reagan family affair in the center. For starters, everyone already knows that Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray) finally confessed their feelings for each other after years of going back and forth and hesitations.
Now, “Blue Bloods” season 9 will pick up from the last season’s ending, which showed Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) and his family having dinner together. As mentioned on CBS, it was not a simple meal because Jamie Reagan will announce his engagement to Eddie Janko.
Although there is no problem with them being engaged, the issue that arose following the announcement was about work. The Reagan patriarch expressed his objection to the idea of the newly engaged couple riding together while on duty.
Apparently, Jamie will insist that there is no problem with this but his dad thinks this is a big issue because it can greatly affect their work. For Frank, police officers always face danger as they do their work and an engaged couple riding together could affect their judgment in risky situations, and this is his main concern.
As seen in the trailer for “Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 1, titled “Playing with Fire,” Eddie wants Jamie to just go along with his father’s wish. She said that Frank clearly does not want them to ride together but Jamie said they have can’t just cave in if someone disagrees.
Eddie seemed upset at what Jamie just said and she told him that they cannot just ignore his father, and besides, they cannot really hide from the department that they are now engaged. Fans will get to see how the couple will decide regarding the matter when “Blue Bloods” season 9 premieres.
“Blue Bloods” season 9 will premiere on Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. on CBS. Avid viewers should not miss the date and be ready since it is only two days away.
