“Blindspot” season 4 will introduce a new recurring role to be portrayed by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. However, details about her character are still unknown.
TV Line confirmed in a report last week that Mastrantonio is joining the cast of “Blindspot” season 4. Details about the new character are still scarce but it was confirmed she will be appearing in several episodes through the entire season.
Typically there are bits of information or descriptions provided when new characters are added to a show. That is also the case even when the series is still being filmed. However, creators of “Blindspot” season 4 are rather secretive about Mastrantonio’s role.
It is still unknown whether Mastrantonio will get along with the protagonists. The only detail confirmed about her “Blindspot” season 4 character is her name, Madeline Burke.
This may be the first time that Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is joining “Blindspot” season 4 but she is not new to a crime drama series. It can be recalled that she played main character Captain Zoe Callas and appeared in 14 out 16 episodes of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” season 9.
With a seasoned TV actor arriving in “Blindspot” season 4, fans can expect the plot to intensify. Mastrantonio’s TV credentials also include a main role in “Limitless,” and recurring roles in “Grimm,” “Hostages,” and “The Punisher.”
Meanwhile, “Blindspot” season 4 is still months away from its air date. But the cast and crew have been back on set since earlier this month. Showrunner Martin Gero previously shared a behind-the-scenes clip on his Instagram page featuring a scene with Rich DotCom (Ennis Esmer) and FBI Agent Patterson (Ashley Johnson).
The latest installment concluded with a major cliffhanger as Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) woke up thinking she had to act as Remi. Fans can expect her to struggle, thinking that she cannot be honest with the people around her as “Blindspot” season 4 returns on Friday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
