The trailer for “Black Mirror” Season 5 was finally released, and it is about as explosive of a teaser as Netflix could have asked for. The upcoming season features some huge stars, as is only to be expected from the series, and among them is famed songstress Miley Cyrus. Considering that the clip seems to indicate that her role will be that of a performer, could the episode be partly based on her own experiences?
The trailer for “Black Mirror” Season 5, as seen below, details yet another world where technology has gone amok. This has resulted in several dystopian settings that would only make life a living hell for the people of today. In the clip, Miley Cyrus made an appearance that isn’t unlike her real-life performances. In one scene, she appears to be supported by digital dancers, CNET notes.
Without pretending that nobody knows what recent phase the singer just got out of, this particular episode in “Black Mirror” Season 5 could provide a window into that experience. Even now, no one really knows why Miley Cyrus became the shockingly provocative performer that she was until recently. There were certainly many theories, but none of them were officially confirmed.
Perhaps her role in “Black Mirror” Season 5 might finally provide some hints as to what those reasons could be. Then again, the show might just be using her popularity as a singer in order to draw in more eyes to the episode where she practically plays herself. What could be easier than simply being oneself while playing oneself?
As to when fans can expect to watch “Black Mirror” Season 5, the show will be premiering on June 5. This is going to be one date that sci-fi enthusiasts will not want to forget, especially those who like to be kept awake at night be possibly horrific futures.
