Big day for all the FED watchers as six members are scheduled to speak today. Views of individual members would be weighed by the market to assess the probability of their votes for a rate hike in FED's December meeting.
- James Bullard is a known hawk, however he doesn't have a vote this December meeting. Nevertheless his views would be carefully watched since he could express FED's overall expectations as well as his. He has a vote next year. He is scheduled to speak at 14:15 GMT.
- Jeffrey Lacker is scheduled to speak at 14:30 GMT. Known hawk and already voting for a hike, for past few meetings.
- FED Chair Janet Yellen, scheduled to speak at 14:45 GMT. Her views would be closely watched, she can be said to be in mild hawkish neutral camp.
- FED vice chair, Stanley Fischer can be called a neutral man looking at data points. In light of data, likely to vote for hike in December. Scheduled to speak at 15:00 GMT.
- FED's Evans is a known dove, has been calling for hike next year. His changed views could matter a lot given his dovish bias. Scheduled to speak at 15:15 GMT.
- FED's William Dudley is New York FED president and a permanent voter in FOMC. He is another data dependent neutral guy likely to vote for a rise in December. His views are key for subsequent rate rise. Scheduled to speak at 17:15 GMT.
