“Better Call Saul” season 5 will be around soon, and fans are excited about this. Its original release date has been scrapped, although filming has been completed early. The fifth season is all set by September, but AMC did not announce a release date but stated notice of delay instead.
According to the president of entertainment at AMC, Sarah Bennet, the management decided to postpone the premiere of “Better Call Saul” season 5, episode 1, because they still need to work on other aspects of the show. She told Vulture that while they cannot release the new installment yet because of what she described as “talents needs.”
Bennet did not elaborate, but this could have something to do with the artists involved in the series. Besides, she said that they already previously shared that they might delay the premiere until 2020. “We said on our most recent earnings call that the series would come back for season five next year,” she said.
What spoilers are revealed in the trailer?
The official video teaser of “Better Call Saul” season 5 was posted in November, and it revealed many tidbits about the upcoming drama. It was short but showed how Jimmy McGill is transforming to his Saul Goodman character.
It appeared that at the beginning of “Better Call Saul” season 5 McGill, the viewers would immediately see the start of his transformation and ultimately become the character he really is, as shown in “Breaking Bad.” What suggested McGill’s early transformation is the fact that he is being brought to the bad guys’ lair. It means that he will be getting his first assignment to acquit the convicts from any crimes they did.
Who will be back in season 5?
“Better Call Saul” season 5 will show the main cast intact. The confirmed ones were shown in the trailer and still photos, and they include, aside from Bod Odenkirk, Nacho (Michael Mando), Huell (Lavell Maurice Crawford), Mike (Jonathan Banks), Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) and Kim (Rhea Seehorn).
Airdate
After the long delay, finally, AMC announced the release date through the trailer. “Better Call Saul” season 5 episode 1 will be on air this coming Feb. 23 at 10 p.m.
