Even though the show is still in its fourth season, fans are already wondering if “Ballers” Season 5 is going to happen. Fortunately, it would seem that it is since the HBO series has been renewed for another season. This is despite the fact that it does not have “Game of Thrones” to use as a crutch this time for ratings.
As TV Series Finale notes, the previous season of “Ballers” benefitted from being a lead-in for “Game of Thrones.” This resulted in a jump of viewership, which it still enjoys to this day. However, it’s worth pointing out that the show has since done well by standing on its own legs. This is why “Ballers” Season 5 has been confirmed.
Just as other shows do, the viewership for “Ballers” fluctuates depending on a variety of factors. However, it would seem to be doing quite well on its own. There’s no doubt that a lot of this is due to the magnetic presence of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who plays Spencer Strasmore in the show. He will be just as instrumental in the success of “Ballers” Season 5.
Since the show’s fourth season has yet to end, with the season finale still coming up, it can be difficult to make a prediction as to what’s next for the series. Based on the trailer for this season’s last episode, though, it seems Spencer is about to wage a war. How will his campaign end and what will its effects be for “Ballers” Season 5?
As for when “Ballers” Season 5 will premiere, the first episode is expected to air at some point in the summer of 2019. This is simply based on the previous launch periods of the other seasons. Barring any potential obstacles that could cause a delay, there’s no reason why “Ballers” Season 5 would not follow the same pattern.
