“Avatar 2” is the follow-up to the 2019 movie of the same title. It took a while for James Cameron to produce this sequel, but the waiting of the fans is all worth it as the director promised spectacular filmography and advance technology application to enhance the visuals of the new movie.

Fans have waited for ten years for “Avatar 2,” and finally, the Pandora and the Na’vi people will show themselves again and continue their story in their mysterious world. Cameron also planned for a bug-budgeted movie to compensate the fans for their patience, so he is offering four sequels, including this second film.

The confirmed movie sequels

The titles for the next four films have been confirmed, and the second sequel is called “Avatar: The Way Of Water.” As its name suggests, it a movie that will feature underwater scenes. The third movie is titled “Avatar: The Seed Bearer” while the fourth and fifth are “Avatar: The Tulkun Rider” and “Avatar: The Quest for Eywa,” respectively.

Plot for “The Way Of Water” Avatar sequel

“Avatar 2” will take place underwater but there is not much detail about what will happen here. The sure thing is that the Na’vi people will be here and they may be acquainted with the aqua people. Or perhaps, this is another one of their Pandora.

Cameron explained how they filmed underwater

The director revealed that in “Avatar 2,” they will explore never before seen parts of the Pandora and they are underwater. The production team shared that they built a 500-gallon tank to create the Pandora world that they need for the movie.

“We built a water tank that was 500,000 gallons of water, and we are doing performance-capture under the water, on the surface of the water, and above the water,” producer Jon Landau told Collider. “We trained our cast to free-breath-hold because in the sequences they have just to be swimming, they can’t be on scuba, and they have to be able to do long takes.”

On the other hand, Cameron shared that they are using techniques to use underwater motion-capture technology to create realistic underwater scenes effectively. Meanwhile, “Avatar 2” is set to premiere on Dec. 18, 2020.
