RICHMOND, VA, Oct. 12, 2017 -- Associa Community Group hosted its second annual charity golf tournament to help raise money for Associa’s national non-profit organization, Associa Cares.
Board members, homeowners and vendors participated in the golf tournament that was held at the Hunting Hawk Golf Course in Glen Allen, Virginia. The event raised more than $19,000 through sponsorships and donations, to help support those impacted by natural or man-made disasters including hurricanes, tornados, floods and fires.
“Following hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, we feel fortunate that we can assist, in some capacity, to help reduce the hardships so many are facing,” stated Scott Meardon, Associa Community Group president. “Our employees dedicated their time and efforts to make this event fun for the participants and donors. We are so honored to be able to give so generously to a great cause and ease some of the discomfort that these devastating storms created for so many.”
