Ashley Olsen stays by Mary Kate's side amidst nasty divorce

Mark Kate Olsen is leaning on her twin, Ashley, as not even the coronavirus pandemic could stop her divorce to Olivier Sarkozy from getting nasty.

A friend of the Olsen twins have told Star in its June 8, 2020 issue that Ashley has been holding Mary Kate together as her divorce starts to get nasty as Olivier is reportedly not going to make this easy.

The friend added that Ashley has not left Mary Kate's side and has been the rock that her twin could lean on as she's gutted over what is happening.

According to friends, the divorce was bound to happen not only because of their unusual 16-year age difference but because Olivier was always jealous of where Mary Kate spends her time.

They say that he wanted to control her and is angry that she spends more time with her multimillion-dollar fashion and entertainment business that she shares with Ashley.

Olivier, the half brother of the former prime minister of France, allegedly wants her home every evening preparing his meals.

He also does not want Mary Kate to do as much as look at another guy while he flirts with even their friends.

Perhaps Mary Kate also has had enough as she signed a divorce petition back in April. This was, however, denied as the court was only attending to essential cases due to the pandemic.

However, in May, Mary Kate made an emergency request to file the divorce petition after she found out that Olivier had ended the lease to the apartment they were renting in New York City without her knowledge.

She wanted the divorce filed so it would stop the eviction as she was afraid that Olivier would take away her possessions as she has been ordered to vacate the place last May to which she said she could not do as there was the quarantine.

Mary Kate is outraged and has been crying over what Olivier is doing. Fortunately for her, her twin Ashley is there for her.
