Following how the previous installment ended, “Arrow” Season 7 is going to be a lot tougher for Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) as he’s now incarcerated. But it’s not just the superhero who is taking a beating but also Amell himself, Carter Matt reported.
In a recent Twitter post by the Canadian actor, he described the grueling days of filming “Arrow” Season 7 with a haggard voice. “I’ve had more physically taxing days in the first four episodes of season 7 than for the entirety of certain seasons. Just getting the sh*t kicked out of me every single day,” Amell said, panting.
The crime-fighting superhero drama has always featured impressive stunts and fight scenes, most of which were performed by Amell himself. So it’s saying something that the actor is having a hard time adjusting to “Arrow” Season 7 given that he’s been through physically exhausting days in filming the series.
Stephen Amell has always been in great shape and even went on to tackle the obstacles of American Ninja Warrior, which he completed with impressive speed. So for him to actually be extremely tired in “Arrow” Season 7 is a clear indication that there will be major events that will take place in the next installment.
As previously mentioned, Oliver Queen has now been thrown into prison called the Slab, a supermax penitentiary designed to house metahuman criminals. And given that Queen is responsible for throwing most of the inmates into the jailhouse, it’s safe to assume that the beatings he’s receiving are coming from these guys. Or perhaps he’s the one handing out the beatings but is taking a few fists and kicks here and there.
Meanwhile, there is a character who is going to be a new addition in “Arrow” Season 7. Amell teased in a Twitter post that this new character just tried on a superhero suit for the first time. Everyone assumes the character to be Batwoman (Ruby Rose).
“Arrow” Season 7 is slated to premiere on Oct. 15. This will be quite an interesting season since it’s going to be the first time that Queen will break out of a supermax penitentiary filled with criminals whom he himself put there.
