‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 23, titled “Lian Yu,” is set to follow Oliver as he enlists the help of unlikely allies in order to defeat Adrian Chase in a final epic showdown in Lian Yu. More villains are set to appear as they are recruited into Chase’s team.
The lengthy posted for “Lian Yu” posted on TV Guide reads, “The battle between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Adrian Chase (guest star Josh Segarra) culminates in a final epic battle on Lian Yu, as Season 5 ends. Oliver recruits a group of unlikely allies, Slade (guest star Manu Bennett), Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law), Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Digger Harkness (Nick E. Tarabay), to defeat Chase.
However, Chase has his own army that includes Black Siren (Katie Cassidy), Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin) and Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig).”
The upcoming final episode of season 5 of The CW’s action-crime television series based on the DC comic book character Green Arrow is set to be an action-packed one as Oliver and his nemesis Adrian Chase finally meet head-to-head in a deadly showdown on Lian Yu. As if the imminent battle between the two won’t be bad enough, they will be joined by their own respective team of allies.
Oliver will be enlisting the help of Slade, Merlyn, Nyssa al Ghul, and even Digger Harkness to bring Chase’s rampage to an end. It seems that the titular protagonist is desperate enough to call on his enemies to help him defeat another one.
Chase won’t be alone in fighting off Oliver as he will also be assembling his own group of threatening villains that includes Black Siren, Talia al Ghul, and Evelyn Sharp. Photographs posted on Superhero Hype shows each opposing team preparing for the final battle.
In some images, Oliver’s team seems to be facing off with Chase’s in what looks to be a castle. In another image, Oliver is seen forcing Chase into a headlock. It will be interesting to see if Team Arrow can make it out alive following the altercation.
‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 23, titled “Lian Yu,” is scheduled to air on The CW on May 24, 2017. It was directed by Jesse Warn and written by Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim.
