“Nintendo” is taking their new “Legend Of Zelda” title to New York for an exclusive demo that only the first 500 applicants will be able to try. According to The Mary Sue, the “Nintendo” New York store inside the Rockefeller plaza is expected to see some major long lines as a result, with dedicated fans scrambling to be among the first to take the new “Zelda” game for a spin.
According to Forbes, the market cap of “Nintendo” is at $21.7 billion which appears to indicate that the video game maker is doing well. This is why a lot of people are wondering why the only playable demo title they have for this year’s E3 is “The Legend Of Zelda” for the company’s flagship console, the Wii U. Some gaming sites such as ThisGenGaming are even calling the move “lackluster,” largely because they believe that “Nintendo” can do so much better.
On the video game company’s part, their reason for presenting only one game for E3 is supposedly so that gamers will have the chance to immerse themselves in the game without any distractions from other titles or products. So come June 14, fans will have the chance to experience first-hand what the new game will involve. Even so, it’s still expected that the New York Demo event will reel in some huge numbers.
Destructoid provides more details regarding the 500-fan exclusive demo where the staggered schedule will be spread out from June 14 to 19. This offers gamers who will not be able to attend the E3 conference the chance to try the game, particularly those who are too young. Among the requirements for applying include a photo ID and minors will need their parents or guardians to accompany them in order to get approval.
Those who failed to sign up will still get to enjoy the new features for the “Legend Of Zelda” game though, as there will also be demonstrations by experts on big screens. So everyone can still have fun.
