An unofficial unboxing video of the upcoming Galaxy A53 has appeared online, but the device is not slated to be announced in a few more days. The next entries to the Galaxy A series will be unveiled later this week in a launch event, Samsung announced on Sunday.
Samsung's upcoming showcase has been spoiled by leaks once again. A 43-second video uploaded on the Đức Khánh Channel on YouTube shows the creator opening a new Galaxy A53 5G. While the video does not reveal much about the phone's technical specifications, it offers viewers a good look at the device's design.
Its appearance should no longer be a surprise, given that it has been leaked several times on Twitter over the last few weeks. The new video reiterates speculations that the Galaxy A53 will look just like its predecessor, while the YouTube channel mentions the device is powered by the Exynos 1280.

Official specs of the Exynos 1280 are still unknown, but leaker Sudhanshu1414 released the Galaxy A53's supposed specs sheet that included the same chip. From the same leak, the device is rumored to sport a 6.5-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The Galaxy A53 leaked renders and unboxing video all show the device would still feature four rear-facing sensors, which reportedly include a 64MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and two 5MP shutters for depth and macro shots. For selfies, the device is equipped with a 32MP front camera. The leaked display and camera specs all suggest the upcoming phone would have major similarities with its predecessor, except for its processor.
Meanwhile, Samsung announced on Sunday that the next generation of Galaxy A series phones would be launched on Thursday, March 17, at 10 a.m. ET. "This year, Samsung is taking the impactful Galaxy innovations for the A series even further," the company said in the official invitation. "The awesome new Galaxy A series devices are designed to provide the fully-loaded experience that people want from a smartphone."
Samsung is anticipated to announce other Galaxy A phones, including the Galaxy A73, at the event. Tech fans can watch the event's livestream on Samsung's official YouTube channel and the Samsung Newsroom website.
