Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s time-consuming divorce made it apparent that they no longer want anything to do with each other. But they cannot just erase the other person from their lives because they have six children together. If married life did not end well for them, will they have a more harmonious relationship as co-parents?

Jolie and Pitt may not be best of friends just yet, but recent reports have it their communications are much more peaceful, especially when it concerns their children. "They both knew they needed to move forward with their lives. There’s no more drama. All of the dust has settled," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "They are and have always been focused on what is best for the children."

The Hollywood A-listers have six children together, namely Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shilo, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10. While they are more frequently photographed with Jolie, there have been reports that they also spend time with Pitt just like when their father celebrated his 55th birthday last December.

Having equal opportunities to be with both their parents are part of the latter, more peaceful parts of Jolie and Pitt’s divorce proceedings. Before they got this point, the family was the subject of countless headlines after the actress’ lawyer claimed in August 2018 that Pitt was not giving “meaningful” amount of child support. The actor’s camp countered that he has already provided over $1.3 million at the time and even let Jolie took a loan of $8 million.

One of the first matters that the former couple resolved was the issue of custody rights. Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016, but it is still not finalized to this day. However, a judge has already declared the actors legally single as of April, though they still have a number of things to settle before the court can sign off their divorce.
