HAMILTON, Bermuda, Sept. 28, 2016 -- American Overseas Group Limited (BSX:AORE.BH) (Pink Sheets:AOREF.PK) (“AOG” or the “Company”) today announced the election of a new director. Jose O. Montemayor has been elected to the Board of Directors of American Overseas Group Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary, Orpheus Group Limited. Mr. Montemayor is currently a principal of Black Diamond Capital Partners I, LP. From 1999 through 2005, Mr. Montemayor served as Insurance Commissioner for the State of Texas. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Society of Financial Examiners, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Montemayor serves on the Board of CNA Financial Corporation, and its Audit, Compensation and Finance Committees. Mr. Montemayor’s extensive knowledge and experience in the insurance industry, including 12 years as a senior insurance regulator, will be valuable to the Company as we continue to focus on the development of the Property & Casualty business.
