Previously, the number of episodes there are in “American Horror Story” season 8 was quite uncertain. But it was later reported that this installment — which is anticipated for also being a crossover between “Murder House” and “Coven” — will be having fewer episodes than most seasons of the show.
TheWrap reports that “American Horror Story” season 8 is going to have fewer episodes than its predecessor, “Cult.” The seventh installment had a total of 11 episodes. But “American Horror Story” season 8 will reportedly have just 10.
“American Horror Story” season 8 a.k.a. “Apocalypse” becomes one of the two shortest installments in the franchise. In 2016, the sixth season, titled “Roanoke,” had 10 episodes as well.
Having only 10 episodes for “American Horror Story” season 8 is quite interesting considering that it is known to be a crossover between the plots of seasons 1 and 3. In the latest episode, which aired last week, fans obviously saw the “Coven” part of the season.
While the highlight is definitely the return of the witches, “American Horror Story” season 8 also presents a new mystery to be solved. Many fans are caught up with the true identity of Mallory, especially with what happened last week.
The introduction of the “Coven” plot in “American Horror Story” season 8 was fully realized when witches Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), Madison (Emma Roberts), and Myrtle Snow (Frances Conroy) entered the containment facility. But their arrival also led to another cliffhanger.

In the “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3, Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) showed deep interest in who Mallory (Billie Lourd) actually is. But she seems to be clueless about what Michael was trying to imply. Later in the episode, fans were provided with a shocking and puzzling twist.
As soon as Cordelia entered the bunker in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3, she ordered the others to “find [their] sisters,” which meant the other witches, so Cordelia can resurrect them. It was immediately revealed that she was referring to Coco (Leslie Grossman), Mallory, and Dinah (Adina Porter).
Meanwhile, the episode intended to reintroduce “Murder House” is in the middle of “American Horror Story” season 8. Episode 6’s title is stating the obvious: “Return to Murder House.” It is also going to be Sarah Paulson’s directorial debut. New episodes are available every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
