Those who have seen “Alita: Battle Angel” would agree that there can be many more stories to be explored about the titular warrior cyborg who has a hazy past. And if a sequel would be ordered, Rosa Salazar’s Alita might not be the only character to return in “Alita: Battle Angel 2.”
‘Alita: Battle Angel 2’ cast, plot: Alita and Nova certainly needs to return
The first movie was filled with essential supporting characters to build up the story of Alita. Unfortunately, some of them who played as important allies did not survive. But there is still a chance for some familiar faces to appear in "Alita: Battle Angel 2."
There is no question that Salazar will reprise her role as Alita. It can be recalled that the first movie ended with the warrior cyborg dominating the Motorball tournament. That means there is virtually nothing that can stop her from reaching Zalem. That leads to the next likely "Alita: Battle Angel 2" character.
Alita believes that she can find answers about her past and her true self once she reaches Zalem. After the events in the first movie, seeking justice for her friends also became a motivation to reach Zalem in "Alita: Battle Angel 2" because that is where Nova (Edward Norton) will be.
‘Alita: Battle Angel 2’ plot: Alita gets help from Dr. Dyson Ido
It can be recalled that Nova was mentioned several times in the first movie as someone who can help people transfer to Zalem. But Norton's mysterious character did not come face to face with Alita. However, the way things ended in the first film suggested that Nova is going to be Alita's next main adversary.
If "Alita: Battle Angel 2" would be mostly set in Zalem, Alita could get some help with someone she can trust with her life and is already familiar with the city. That is no other than Dr. Dyson Ido (Christopher Waltz).
Dr. Ido is more than just an expert on cyborg technology. He was the one who found Alita in the junkyard and raised her like a daughter. He eventually helped her get upgrades that made her much better in combat. If she is going to have more fights in “Alita: Battle Angel 2,” having Dr. Ido around would be a huge advantage.
