These awards shine the spotlight on outstanding examples of discovery and innovation in government IT -- transformative tech that is reinventing the public sector and the IT professionals who are driving the those efforts forward.
The 2017 finalists are grouped into five categories: Cybersecurity; Cloud and Infrastructure; Big Data, Analytics and Visualization; Mobile; and Robotics, Automation and Unmanned Systems. The overall winner in each category, as selected by a judging panel of top government IT innovators, will be announced at the October 19th GCN dig IT Awards Gala.
"There's an amazing amount of innovation in government – both cutting-edge technologies themselves and remarkably creative uses of existing tech in new ways," said GCN Editor-in-Chief Troy K. Schneider. "We're excited to showcase these 25 great examples, and I can't wait to see which projects our judges pick as the winners for each category."
