This year’s election in the United States is not only one of the most closely watched elections in history, by many measures it has also been one of the ugliest elections ever. This election is also one of the most crucial in the history of the United States. Lot’s at stake here. Whoever comes to power would be pivotal in the selection of a Supreme Court judge; in other words, the constitution is at stake here. If the Republican candidate Donald Trump wins and sticks to his campaign lines, it could mean a fresh new approach towards foreign policies as well as trade policies. To give examples; Trump has promised to scrap NAFTA, whereas Hillary Clinton remains in favor, Clinton has taken a hard stance towards Russia, where Trump has taken a much softer stance.
With so much at stake, both the candidates and most importantly their supporters are working very hard to make the opponent candidate to look non-acceptable. Hillary Clinton and her media aides have launched an attack on Donald Trump which revolves around allegations that Mr. Trump has groped women in the past and has allegedly made sexual advances. On the other hand, Hillary Clinton’s campaign is being bombarded by revelations by Wikileaks that show how the corruption runs deep in the United States government and how the well-respected Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice department of the United States, as well as, the U.S. media colluded in favor of Hillary Clinton.
The net result is what Mr. Bill O’Reilly, Fox News anchor and host skillfully explained in his show that it is a sad time for America and no matter who wins the White House, America still loses.
