WeDriveU Applauds Shuttle Programs Awarded 2018 Best Workplaces for Commuters

BURLINGAME, Calif., April 17, 2018 -- WeDriveU, the leader in corporate and university transportation solutions, today honored 10 client sites named 2018 Best Workplaces for Commuters. The awards recognize exceptional employer-provided commuter benefits that meet the “National Standard of Excellence” criteria.

The 2018 Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC) annual list celebrates U.S.-based employers who meet the program’s National Standard of Excellence. More than 200 companies and universities made the list.

Clients in Boston, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area made the list, with several awarded for multiple sites. Winners include athenaCommutes (athenahealth), RideIn (LinkedIn), Salesforce, SRPGo (Stanford Research Park), VMware Palo Alto (VMware) and other leading organizations.

In remarks at a Commute.org event honoring local winners, LinkedIn’s head of Global Transportation, Mike Alba, described how LinkedIn gives employees options to get to work more productively – from the train, to wifi buses, hopping on a bike or sharing a ride – resulting in LinkedIn's employee drive-alone rate decreasing from 70 percent to 55 percent last year.
