Turkish economic confidence index rises strongly in June

Turkish economic confidence rises in the month of June. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the economic confidence index rose 19.1 percent to 73.5 in June to 61.7 in May. This rise in economic sentiment index was driven by rises in the sub-indices.

The consumer confidence index rose 5.2 percent to 62.6 in June from May’s 59.5. Meanwhile, the real sector confidence index rose 22.2 percent to 89.8 from prior month’s 73.5.

The services confidence index rose 8.5 percent to 55.5 in June from May’s 51.1. The retail trade confidence index rose 9.3 percent from May’s 79 to 86.4 in June.

Lastly, the construction confidence index rose 33.1 percent to 78 in June from May’s 58.5.
