Turkish consumer sentiment index eases in July

Turkish consumer sentiment eased in July. The Turkish Statistical Institute showed that the seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index dropped 2 percent sequentially to 56.5 from June’s 57.6.

The financial situation expectation of household index in the next 12 months period dropped 1.7 percent sequentially to 77 in July from June’s 78.3. The general economic situation expectation index dropped 0.8 percent to 73.4 in July from 73.9 seen in the prior month.

Meanwhile, the number of people unemployed expectation index dropped 1.3 percent to 55.6 in July from June’s 56.3. The probability of saving index dropped 9 percent to 20 in July from June’s 22.
