'The Walking Dead'Season 6 Episode 12 Recap: Was the plan a fail or a success?

Last Sunday’s episode of the hit TV series ‘The Walking Dead’ was by far the most intense and action packed episode any fan could ever dream of, what with Rick and his team had to do by facing the most feared Negan and his team. So, here are some tid bits of what happened in episode 12 “No Tomorrow Yet”. Spoilers ahead!

Much of the episode circled around Carol and her road to recovery. We saw her gathering up acorns and baking beet cookies. She even has the time to flirt with Tobin and enjoy a kiss with him. The production team surely know how to excite their viewers by starting the episode with something that’s low key at first until you get to the middle part where all the exciting things happen.

As for Rick, he organized a town hall meeting where he explained to his fellow Alexandrians the deal that Maggie had made with The Hilltop and laid out his plan to take down the Saviors. Naturally, Morgan objected to this and proposed something about telling the Saviors that they are going to win anyways so why not just give them a “way out”. Fortunately for all the fans who are asking for some action, Rick disagreed to this and would not want to give away their advantage, the element of surprise.

Everyone prepped up for the battle, all ready with their fake Gregory head that they got by cutting a walker’s head and beating its face up so that it wouldn’t be recognized.

Before dawn, Rick & Co. set their plan in motion — with one slight alteration: Carol insisted on staying behind at the perimeter to watch over Maggie. In spite of that, it all went really well… at first. The fake Gregory head fooled Negan’s guards, got Hilltop hostage Craig sprung and allowed our heroes to enter the compound and tiptoe from room to room, killing Saviors in their sleep.

While the strike team was searching the compound for the Saviors’ arsenal, the one light sleeper among the villains got a rude awakening and sounded the alarm. Hearing it at the perimeter, Maggie wanted to make a beeline for the action. Good thing Carol was there to stop her.

By the time the sun had risen, it appeared that the mission had been a total success. But before they could celebrate, a woman’s voice on the guy’s walkie-talkie instructed them to lay down their arms, because they had Maggie and Carol.
