“The Promised Neverland” season 2 has been confirmed, though, fans will have to wait quite a long time before they see the new episodes. On a positive note, anime viewers have an idea where the new installment would focus and it is in Emma and Ray's continuing adventure now that they have successfully escaped the so-called farm.
Before discussing what could happen in “The Promised Neverland” season 2, a brief recap might help especially the new fans. The first season had a total of 12 episodes. The plot focused on Emma and also introduced her more than 30 “siblings” living in the orphanage house operated by Isabella, who they grew up calling mother.
The children, who wear white clothes all the time, can do pretty much anything they want to except going outside the gates of the orphanage. It was later revealed that the house was actually a farm to raise children meant to be food for demons. When someone gets “adopted,” it actually means they are going to be fed to the demons and Isabella knows this. The orphan house will likely still operate when the show returns for “The Promised Neverland” season 2.
“The Promised Neverland” season 2 will possibly pick up from the first morning of Emma, Ray, and other children outside the orphanage. The next installment of the anime series is also likely based on the next arc called The Promised Forest.
The first episode of “The Promised Neverland” season 2 will probably show the aftermath of Emma and Ray’s escape. For one, Isabella will get some sort of punishment from the demons that really own the orphanage. Worse, the demonic creatures will not just allow Emma and Ray’s group to escape. They will organize a group to track them down and it certainly means trouble for the recently freed children.
Meanwhile, Emma and Ray will start planning on what they have to do next at the start of “The Promised Neverland” season 2. One of the main points of their plan is reaching out to someone named William Minerva. This character was briefly mentioned in season 1 but he will most likely have a bigger role in the upcoming episodes.
Unfortunately, Emma and Ray immediately face a scary mystery when most of their siblings start to disappear. “The Promised Neverland” season 2 is slated to premiere in 2020.
