“My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! The Movie” is underway after more than two years since it was announced on September 21, just after the conclusion of the second installment. The first season aired from April to June 2020, while the second season aired from July to September of the following year. Studio Link was in charge of the anime series' animation, and they are now back to make the anime feature, which Asmik Ace will distribute.

The plot is based on Satoru Yamaguchi's light novel series, which Nami Hidaka drew. Thirteen volumes have been published as of October 2023. The series was also adapted into a manga with art by Hidaka, which has been serialized in the Monthly Comic Zero Sum magazine since August 2017. Seven Tankobon volumes have been published, and Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the series in English.

The production team may announce a theatrical release date for North America, Europe, and other places within the next few months. Still, if they do release it in the United States, it'll most likely be in limited theaters.

The Movie” is an isekai harem rom-com that follows Catarina Claes, the young daughter of a noble family, who one day knocks her head and recalls her previous existence as a 17-year-old Japanese otaku girl. That's when she finds she's been reborn into the universe of the otome game Fortune Lover as the game's villain, Katarina Claes, who is bound to be murdered or exiled regardless of which path the player takes in the original game.

To escape these tragic paths that will lead to her destruction, she employs her knowledge of the game and her own cunning, beginning with breaking off her engagement with the prince. This, however, has unexpected ramifications for her interactions with the other characters in the game's setting. Will Katarina survive her attempt to avert her character's fate?

“The My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! The Movie” will focus on Catarina Claes encountering a mystery boy while seeing the shows and dancers brought by merchants from a foreign country, which leads to a once-in-a-lifetime event for her.
