CLEARWATER, Fla., Jan. 11, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Church of Scientology is inviting members of the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce the first “Business Networking Reception” for 2016 on February 3rd between 6-8 pm at the Scientology Information Center in downtown Clearwater.
The reception will provide an opportunity for all business Executives and staff to start the year off positively with social-networking and making new contacts. Light refreshments will be served, tours of the new information centers, including United for Human Rights, Foundation for a Drug-free world will be available. These humanitarian initiatives are sponsored by members of the Church of Scientology. This is the 2nd business reception that the center will host since opening on July 11th, 2015.
“Due to the positive results and feedback from the first event, it was clear there is a need for regular networking opportunities in the downtown area, and the Church is happy to contribute by sponsoring them,” stated Amber Skjelset, Manager of the Scientology Information Center.
The Scientology Information Center is housed in the Historic Bank of Clearwater which is located at 500 Cleveland Street. It is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm and offers guests the opportunity to peruse audio-visio and informational displays covering basic Scientology concepts, as well as a full biographical display of the life and legacy of L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology’s Founder. One display features the broad humanitarian initiatives supported by Scientologists & non-Scientologists the world over.
Each of these humanitarian initiatives now have their own facilities just steps from the Scientology Information Center. These centers offer solutions to tackle issues that plague the business community; drug abuse, moral decay and more. These centers provide educational materials and tools which address these situations and bring about results. They are open daily to the public from 10am-10pm.
Since its opening, the Information Center has hosted a variety of receptions for local groups and organizations and welcomed over 6,500 visitors in 2015. It also offers and makes its conference room available to social, civic and nonprofit groups free of charge. All are welcome.
