It would seem that Bethesda is still heavily invested in “The Elder Scrolls Online” if the latest announcement for an upcoming expansion pack is anything to go by. Players of the MMORPG will basically be able to play with dragons soon, which has been a long-time coming. What’s more, access to the Khajiit homeland of Elsweyr will finally be granted. Both developments are a first in their own right.
As Polygon points out, this latest expansion would be the first time that dragons are available as enemies in “The Elder Scrolls Online.” The flying mythical beasts have existed in the general “TES” lore, of course, but the MMORPG did not provide them as creatures that players could fight. With the “Elsweyr” expansion, this option will finally become available.
Other than dragons, however, players will also be able to enjoy new additions in terms of adventures, quests, lands to explore, and even a new class in the form of a Necromancer. As the name might have already given away, this class basically allows players to raise undead and command them in “The Elder Scrolls Online.”
The size of the new area itself is said to be comparable to that of Summerset and is promised to offer up to 30 hours of added content. This is good news for those who have been playing “The Elder Scrolls Online” for a while and have started getting bored with the contents that are currently available.
As for when fans can expect this latest “The Elder Scrolls Online” expansion pack to be released, it should become available sometime in June. However, the option to fight dragons will become open in February thanks to the “Wrathstone” DLC that is scheduled to be released during that period. This is in preparation for the events that are set to occur in the upcoming expansion.
