“The Bachelor” 2019 star has been announced and it will be Colton Underwood's turn when the show premieres again. The former NFL player has been recruited to be the next man who will look for new love in the 23rd season of ABC’s popular dating and relationship reality television series.

The 26-year-old bachelor is not just a familiar name in the national football league but he is also known in the reality TV world as he already appeared in a few Bachelor Nation shows like "The Bachelorette" season 14 and "Bachelor in Paradise."

On Sept. 4, via Good Morning America, ABC officially announced Colton Underwood’s "The Bachelor" 2019 appearance. Via the show, the bachelor said that he sincerely wants to find his future wife there and wishes that the upcoming season will end in a proposal.

“That’s what I’m looking for… being engaged and then getting married shortly after that,” he told Michael Strahan during the live interview on GMA. “I’m very excited. Third time’s the charm, that’s what they say, right? That’s what I’m hoping for!”

He revealed that he is 100 percent healed now and has moved on from his past heartbreaks. Thus, he is now focused solely on finding his true love with whom he can spend the rest of his life.

"This is the perfect time in my life to do this. And hopefully, I'll come out of it engaged!" Colton said excitedly.

When it was revealed that Colton Underwood is in for “The Bachelor” 2019, his ex, Tia Booth, had something to say. It appears that she is no longer bitter about their breakup as she congratulated him via Twitter.

"Congratulations @Colt3FIVE. I hope your season is full of protein powder, puppies, and naps!” she wrote.

After Tia posted her congratulatory message, fans asked her if she will be one of the contestants on “The Bachelor” 2019 and she directly gave a negative answer. “NO I will NOT be a contestant on Colton's season. Lord bless," she quipped.

Meanwhile, Colton Underwood was one of the memorable contestants in the previous “The Bachelorette” season, where Becca Kufrin was featured. He admitted to her that he was still a virgin and this part became the most talked about confession in that season.

Kufrin sent him home but he was back on TV not long after that. He appeared on “Bachelor in Paradise,” where he rekindled his relationship with Tia Booth. However, in the end, they broke up after Colton admitted that he could not see a future with her.

“The Bachelor” 2019 has no premiere date yet. However, since the bachelor has already been chosen and filming can begin anytime, fans can expect it to arrive within the first quarter of 2019 on ABC.
